Welcome to the Tarheel Buick Club (TBC) website

Featured

The Tarheel Buick Club (dba Tarheel Chapter of the Buick Club of America) is a local chapter of the Buick Club of America (BCA). The chapter is located in the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) of North Carolina and we include Buick enthusiasts from the Triad to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

We are always looking for fellow Buick enthusiasts to join the TBC. You don’t have to own a Buick to join, you just have to have a healthy enthusiasm for this division of GM.
Important note: Membership in the BCA is a pre-requisite to joining any local BCA chapter.

If you are interested in joining the BCA, you can do so through their website.

We do allow “provisional” membership to the TBC if you don’t have a BCA membership.
You must obtain a BCA membership within 30 days of joining the chapter.
Your BCA number must be provided to the chapter secretary for BCA membership verification.

Dean Tryon has authored the following technical book for automotive enthusiasts:

Website: https://fundamentalcarburetion.com/

“After the series of tech sessions last year at my house, I decided to put it to paper and make it a book. Go to my website for details:

This book includes materials covered in Dean’s 2-hour face-to-face class and a lot more. Read the Preface and the Table of Contents for the details.

This book is intended to describe not only how the various carburetor circuits work but WHY. And it covers the gas tank to the combustion chamber in addition to carburetors.

The book is printed and available as of yesterday. Cost is $35 plus shipping.

Congratulations Dean!

The Tarheel Chapter to host the 2025 BCA National Meet in Concord, NC

The TBC is going to host the Buck Club of America National Meet, July 2025.
Planning is underway for this highly anticipated event. The host hotel is the Embassy Suites in Concord, NC. The last time the National Meet was held in Concord in 2012 there were over 300 cars entered for judging.

There are many opportunities for planning and executing an event of this magnitude. There are subcommittees for areas such as Tours & Transportation, Show Field, Swap Meet, Banquet, Sponsorship, Fundraising, Goodie Bags, Hospitality Suite, Car Corral, Publicity, Guest Information, and more. There will also be a group attending the ’24 National Meet in Strongsville, Ohio (Cleveland area) to promote our event.

Volunteer positions are available to match whatever amount of time you can devote. If interested in joining our regularly scheduled virtual meetings, please contact Marck Barker the ’25 National Meet Director at 89Reatta@gmail.com, or 919-233-1973 to be included.
